I am looking for a Prius and noticed that the 2006 on plays MP3 and WMA files. Will the radio from 2006 on fit and fully function in a 2004-2005 Prius? Thanks.

I doubt it, there were several changes to the interior electronics between '05 and '06, Mainly IIRC the MFD was changes from standard NTSC analog video to a digital signal of some sort.
