Questions About Replacing Rear Struts on a 98 Toyota Corolla LE

1) Does my vehicle need an alignment after doing this? 2) Should whether my Corolla is a Sedan or Station Wagon matter? 3) Should whether my Corolla is a CE, VE, or LE matter?

Thanks.

No, provided

1) you're re-using the strut body and are only replacing the inserts, and 2) the installer is absolutely certain he moves the adjustment block into precisely the position it was before removal.

If the rear suspension is a strut suspension, then an alignment is necessary unles the technician is able to put the suspension back together exactly as it came out. I recommend getting a 4 wheel alignment done.

I believe that the 1998 Corolla only came as a sedan. The Matrix is based on the Corolla chassis.

No. (If you are asking about an alignment after strut replacement.)
