Apparently neither are you, Foghorn, because if you were, you'd know that tax cuts don't always work, spending hikes don't always work, and loose or tight money doesn't always work. And you would know that tax cuts for upper income people tend to worsen deficits, while cuts for the bottom 50% tend to reduce them. Check the revenue reflows and the Atlantic interview with David Stockman to confirm this, WBMA, LOL.

Get real! The fact is every time tax RATES were cut for ALL Americans, as was the case when Congress passed the Bush tax RATE cuts, the INCOME to the US Treasury grew. It grew so much that in the last two quarters of 2007 the US Treasury was taking IN more than it was spending.

That is the FIRST time that ever happened during war time. There was greater growth to the treasury after Kennedy cut the RATES but that was not in time of war and his RATES cuts were much greater. The top RATE went down to 50% from 90%.

You obviously were not an economics major. It is basic economics, the more money people have the more they spend and every time a dollar changes hands in the US it is TAXED by the federal, state and local governments.

List the "pork" items which benefit the constituants of the Democrates vs. the Republicans could you? And leave out the items which are intended to benefit people re- gardless of their political affiliation or place of residence.

Pork is a term used when a legislator packs extra items into a bill that are primarily benefitting his constituancy. Please tell us what part of the proposed bill follows these guidelines.

Or is it just that you don't agree with the reasons and methods being used, but that revitalization is needed?

The difference is Obama is not interested in throwing our money away on bullets and bombs but on something that will help our people and country grow.

I'd agree there are some items which could have been put on hold until later. But I see no evidence of pork, only lots and lots of spending.

Again I've seen nothing that would benefit the Dems constituancy at the expence of Pub constituants; if you see something I haven't please let us know what you've found.
