Re: {OT} Gawd Damn Dims 800 PLUS BILLION spending Bill....

But, but, but we NEED all of those things to stimulate the economy!

If we didn't spend more money then we would have had to cut taxes. How would THAT help the economy? All that would have done was let people keep more of their own money and they would just go out and spend it. LOL

Just in case anyone was wondering...here's the 778 page. $827 billion > dollar "spending" package for the American people...God help us. > > > > In search of, 4 million sustainable jobs in this spending mess!!!! > Some noble social plans, some short term jobs, where is the long term > economic growth????? Which of that is waste? Show me that similar stuff didn't exist in any of the budgets proposed by GW Bush or Ronald Reagan. Of course you've compiled a list because otherwise you couldn't claim that the above items are waste (and let's face it -- you have nothing else to do).

I missed the part where this bill was a proposed federal budget. Care to show that to us?

Answer my question first.

There's nothing to answer. Your premise that it is similar to other proposed budgets is false. This bill was supposedly designed to address the economic problem but it is nothing more than additional pork. Those programs already receive federal funding via the annual budget. These are additional fundings for them. Your turn.

Seriously? You trying for some Guinness record for the consumption of stupid pills?

This administration is becoming a joke.

Million dollar parties for the rich demmies, all courtesy of the bogus stimulus package.

Nope. Not waste at all - and no oversight or punishment either.

You don't exactly belong to the group of three conservatives here who are intelligent, and you still can't cite anything specific. Give it another try because even if the stimulus plan is 99% efficient, which it is not, you should be able to cite at $8 billion of waste.

An insult from a woman-hating crazy person like you is always a compliment.

At least you've never physically abused women, as Mike Hunter did his first wife.

And when GW Bush took over after Clinton in 2001, the country started to go to hell.

Coincidence?

Actually, yes, just as when Congress switched from Republican to Democratic control in 2007. But unlike the situation with Congress, GW Bush laid the groundwork for the current economic disaster by borrowing like crazy and neglecting the mischief in the private sector.
