I have a second hand 2000 Toyota Yaris SR which is fitted with the standard TTE exhaust system. It's a great little car but the problem is the exhaust noise, particularly at motorway speeds. I guess I just need to change the back of the exhaust, but would like to know if standard (cheap) exhausts would fit. I asked the local UK Toyota dealer for advice and they said they can only offer identical replacement parts to match the chassis number. They didn't seem too helpful at suggesting alternatives other than expensive exhaust specialists.
Does anybody know of quieter exhausts?
