Veterans Day

To all you veterans out there, THANKS for your service to your country, particular those still on active duty in this worldwide war on radical Islamic terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and all of the other fronts in this war.

A tip of my old white hat to ya....mate!

And right back at ya.

I've been invited to march in a local parade. I'll be proud to be around all those heroes.

Yes sir, for once we agree totally. These men and women who have served our nation over the decades deserve our utmost respect and gratitude. and on Veterans' Day, let's remember the people who died, not in combat, but in accidents while on duty...I can think of two fine fellows from my unit in Korea who never made it home because their C-124 Globemaster crashed in the Han river after takeoff on Washington's birthday 1957. They were going on R and R in Japan. And another young soldier I had the misfortune to watch when this happened - he was lighting a field stove and the flaming gas spritzed all over him. He lived five days in agony. He served his country evey bit as much as a person killed in combat. RIP to our fallen heroes, and a very snappy salute to the living ones. Good job, ladies and gentlemen.

Thanx Mike from an 'Old' soldier. And there will always be veterans. Man hasn't been able to get along with each other since the beginning of upright life's beginning on this planet, and it will never happen. Man is destined to destroy himself. As long as this is factual soldiers will be needed and soldiers = veterans.

To All Veterans, Thanks for your dedicated service and your sacrifices. I raise my cup to you

It shows in your attitude.

It seems you need it again...

Really? The more some of you guys post, the goofier you get. My one son-in-law is in the USAF. He is a SMS, an E9, he earns around 90K a year plus full bennies. He will retire in two years, at age 49, a 80% of his salary. LOL

Little Richard AKA dick you can spin all day but you can't hide. Many time in this NG you called the sailers in Norfolk rotten names. We don't forget stuff like that from one who never fough fo this country. We know you do not yet understand, but the war we are in now with the radical Islamic terrorist must be won, or it will trully be our last necessary war.

As voluntary servitude goes ....that is something less than horrendous (and likely envied by our po' sailor boy).

For that matter, any employee of any company (i.e. someone who works for another, and doesn't own his own business) is in voluntary servitude, right?

The last terrorist message to us is they won't stop til they blow up the White House. If we could just get everyone of our people and our freinds in the world to recognize this threat then maybe they would stop. We need to band together rather than fight each other. "United we stand, divided we fall", and "safety in numbers". Two phrases we should all keep in mind.

No, let him continue to show his ass. These kind of attitudes are what has taken over Washington recently and the American people need to see them for who they are. Then they will know who really was on their side.
