Why is it always me?

Went and visited the car on the drive today, at some point over the last few weeks while the car hasnt moved next door have knocked over their pile of crap (old furnishings) and dented and scratched my rear wing like you've never seen. And they havent owned up. I hate people who are so lame they wont own up to things like this.

You aren't the only one.

A neighbor's tree hit my Corolla a fwe years ago, but, luckily I had glass coverage and it only hit the windshield.

Why should YOUR insurance pay? IT should be their liability insurance, part of the house insurance.

It is not just you. A few weeks after getting my 2001 Avalon, a RV was coming at me from the opposite direction and somehow a rock flew off its top and into my windshield. Darn if I could figure the physics of it but it put a hole in my new windshield. And today it happened again. I'm driving forward and a dump truck is coming at me and suddenly a stone comes off of it and hits my new Honda minivan. This time I haven't found any damage at least.

Honda? They use cheap glass. GTF to the Honda newsgroup and STFO of this one.

If only it was a tree I could have had photos of it and claimed off their insurance (or them) but since it seems it was either them or the removal people and no-one will own up I cant do anything except a)take an insurance premium hike of about $500 and pay the excess of $100 and get it repaired or b) sort it myself.

Ahh well, nice to know im not alone eh!

Time to move before they start claiming it *is* part of their crap and you stole it.

You dont know how right you are lol.

Might want to check if your insurance even counts comprehensive claims as chargeable that 'might' (or not) effect your rate!

I bet they don't.

Interesting thought, I'll check my policy.

Only 'at fault' accidents can affect one premium rate

Lots of insurance companies, LOTS of the time, agree to "split" fault, so that BOTH drivers get their premiums raised.

Yes but this is because they can then claim it back off the other persons insurance - in this case they cant do that so probably wont.
