Decent very small car, Sarah. When we bought our Prius, it actually came down to these two as the final choice. The Yaris was just to 'cardboardy' for us by a mile. We remain pleased with the choice. Tomes

Sweet.
Ouch. Why can't they get that good a MPG with regular?
WOW !
Averaging 42 MPG. What is a Tercel, a two cylinder motorcycle? ;)
I did a spreadsheet with the data from my "Little Black Book" I keep in the glovebox. Every fillup I check the MPG and write it down. That way I have an average of what the car is doing and can spot trouble as it develops, instead of after...
Over the course of three years I was tracking the price of 87 and of 93 octane, plugged the numbers into a spreadsheet, and came to the conclusion I actually *saved* $220 by using premium, thanks to the increase in MPG.
Your mileage may vary...
Holy crap - are you for real?? Cathy ====================
Am I supposed to be intimidated by you and your flunky..? Hillary showed her true (KK)Kolors today...
You're just another bitter female lookin' for a successful male to argue with because you know none of us will take the bait of a fake fish....
Leave the successful guys like us to tap the young fresh things ..you're over...
Tomes already posted his own reply, which was basically the same as mine - you're full of crap; you have not a clue what you're talking about, re: the Prius.
Hillary
I'm not bitter. (Okay, I'm a bit bitter about GWB & his administration!) But I do get annoyed when you post your own guesses as answers, & those guesses aren't based on facts. And therefore they're simply your own skewed opinions. Ex: Dimensions of cars don't lend themselves well to mere opinion - there are hard facts to go by.
And why throw in Hillary there, when we were talking about the Prius car? Because you assume that's who I'm voting for - solely because I'm female, that I'd be upset about any gaffes she makes, & that she's is not the apparent democratic nominee?? You're assuming too much yet again - based on no knowledge of facts, & therefore your assumption may well be wrong.
lookin' for a successful male to argue
Yeah, right... You're so full of crap.

*snipping troll logic*
Don't waste your time, Cathy - I gave up expecting him to stop hating women lonnnng ago. He has severe issues.
Put it this way - at least you can *talk* to Charles The Curmudgeon.
Natalie
Thanks for the tip-off; I was coming to the same conclusion myself. (I was imagining a sort of hybrid of Charles the Curmudgeon & Sharxx.)
Kinda scary that people like him (CP) exist. I sometimes wonder if a few people have distinctly split personas, re: IRL & cyber. Because if they're like this (irrational, extremely nasty, etc.), for ex., IRL... well... ack! ===:-O OTOH, if they are reasonably normal IRL but have a very different persona for the internet, well... still kinda scary, I guess!
Cathy
I used to LIKE women, till I figured out all the single ones that would date me fell into the exact same pattern and that I was just wasting my time trying to find a real conservative among the singles. I know a lot of married women that I get along with real well. But there are no single ones that think the same way, they've all been poisoned in their minds by Betty Fredan or Gertrude Stein or someone else on the Left. That's why most of them are STILL SINGLE.
I'm sitting here in a sweat top with a hood in my apartment. The fool idiot owner turned on the AIR CONDITIONING this week, so of course there's no heat and the nighttime temps have been below 45. Guess I'll have to bake some bread to heat up the house tomorrow, I'm not going anywhere with gas at
4.25. (I crossed the county line and got gas at 4.09 today, took 45 bucks to fill up a COROLLA with its 50 liter tank.) Going to have to throw the winter blankets back on the bed.Charles the Curmudgeon
"CharlesTheCurmudgeon" ...
Well, despite disagreeing with your views, you're at least civilized with your responses, rather than resorting to hideous name-calling.
Air conditioning...
best...invention...ever.
Natalie
To tell you the truth, I have no idea how I did so well. It was a 1.5 liter underpowered machine (although it had ~110 HP, only 2 less than my Hachiroku) I put the biggest tires that would fit on the stock rims, and drove the hell out of it!
Did I mention it's 45 again this morning with the wind out of the north? And the AIR CONDITIONING is ON. (I turned my unit off, but there's no way of calling up heat!) If it gets too much colder in here I'm going to have to break out my winter coat. Catching Pee-numonia on Memorial Day Weekend. Sheesh.
BTW, that's Fahrenheit, not Celsius. This is the coldest Memorial Day I remember. It should be bikini weather. It's not going to be any fun to go watch the girls on North St Beach. Maybe, since it's such a cold day here in Hell, the Cubs might actually win the World Series for the first time in
100 years.Charles the Curmudgeon
"CharlesTheCurmudgeon" ...
LOL will you hate me if I say I'm jealous?
I hate hot weather with a passion, so the colder the better for me.
Natalie
But not for you. Sure, you may be wasting a waxing, but you'll be doing humanity a favor for which you'll be greatly rewarded, i.e., not punished.
"Norm De Plume" ...
ROFL!
You're on a roll.
Natalie
Ahhh, oversized tires. :)
I've been trying to get the boss to send me down to Florida, but now he's back from Florida. Trade you, but then where you're at would probably get cold and Chicago would probably get HOT again.
Hmmm, wonder if we're going to repeat 1816, the year without a summer?
Charles the Curmudgeon
Yes but with the air temp below 70 and the water temperature at 55, no female in her right mind is going to wear a bikini this weekend. Even the fashionistas aren't that crazy. Even the boy crazy girls aren't that desperate. Were I thinking about going in the water, I'd wear a wetsuit. I don't even think anyone could talk Horseface Parker into wearing one up here this weekend, even if her husband promised to be there and ogle her.
Besides, I'd never wax. My sister has promised me that if I ever try waxing, she has dibs on the job. And she's promised to make it HURT. She was shocked enough that I shaved my legs after the bypass. But I got so tired of looking at legs that had black hair on one side and brown on the other.

Just my luck, probably so.
Works for me...
