5.6 to the power of 12 ,what does that mean ? 5.6litres or what ,the workers behind the service desk have no clue!

Dry new fill to just draining and filling, as alot of oil stays in the trans, mine takes maybe 5-6 on a drain. Check hot and running and dont overfill as most shops do.

5.6 to the power of 12, that's a big number, you sure that wasn't a footnote 1 or 2 or something?

What does the Haynes manual for the '89 Camry say?

As Ransley said, if 2 numbers are given, the bigger one is likely for if it's filling a new car with new fluid, and the smaller # is for drain and fill.

If doing a drain and fill, eyeball approx. how much fluid comes out, and use that as a starting point for refilling. I get about 2.5 qts of trans fluid out of my '96 4-banger.

Don't forget the differential, if it's separate from the trans fluid

Have fun

Michael
