How does one change out the light bulb which provides light to the temperature control, fan speed and airflow selector knobs. There appears to be a Mylar stick on behind the knobs, with the symbols and light openings on. Does this come off?

Yes, to remove the radio bezel first (pry outward from the bottom) and then remove the radio, you should be able to ge tthem fromthere. But its tricky. There is 2 bulbs for the backlight, replace them both.
Geez I tried that twice and couldn't see anything. That was why i figured one must have to take the front off where the Mylar is.
It is tricky, but can be done. You can remove the entire dash bezel too. A few screws and it will all pop out. But its still kinda tough to get to those bulbs.
