I just picked my car up from the mechanic after having major work done and now I can not open my drivers door from the inside...is this an easy fix? Anyone know how to do it?

============= Sounds like the easiest solutioni would be to return the car to the mechanic. Once had a mechanic break the parking brake cable on my truck during other repairs and they repaired it without extra cost.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The only thing to remember when talking with the garage manager is that the handle worked up until they took the car. Otherwise they might charge you for its repair.
