99 camry - alarm malfunction

I have a 99 Camry V4. For the past couple of years i have been noticing that my car alarm goes off once in a while during the day time. I see that it happens when i am in office when it is too hot for atleast once in a week. It never happend in my home before where i always park my car in garage. Since I sit near the window in office I could hear the alaram everytime it goes and I use my remote to disable the alarm. But the past few weeks it happend once in the middle of the night ( no breakage in the house :) ). And now it happend when it was very cloudy. So my theory of alarm malfunction during hot sunny day is ruled out. Anyone exprienced this problem?

Thanks

Check the pin switches in the door jamb that control the dome light - you could have an intermittent contact triggering the alarm. Try peeling back the neoprene cover, unbolting the switch, cleaning, lightly oiling or WD-40, and reassemble. Also clean the contact point and bolt threads as the bolt threads establish the ground connection to the frame.

--------- BTW, your engine would be an inline 4
