Catalytic Converter

I have 2000 camry CE 4 cylider and have about 75,000 miles on it.

I got P420 code six months ago (September 2009) ... ( at that time I went to autozone to check code and they told me it is P420 and some how they reset it)

After driving for two more months the light came back with P420 again.

I am up for emission test in May-2010

I went to couple of reputed (at least based on the state records) emission shops

and they gave me these options (without looking into the car just by the error code I told them)

a) One shop tole me to replace only converter for 400 dollars with two years warrenty. Warrenty does not include labor if it goes bad only converter

b) Second shop told me that I need oxygen sensor (I think only rear sensor) with converter and he told me that most probably you will not run with same error code again

c) they both told me that I can pass emission test with $200 (But light will come back on but I will get pass the emission test good for two years. I asked how come..? and been told it is a trade secret)

A car with 75000 miles need a new convert. I have been driving it for six months no issue with car...

What would be best option for me

Replace cat or Replace cat and sensor please advise.

I would just do the sensors, both of them first.

Thanks, I had replaced rear p2 sesnsor and light had not came in yet.

Repair shop charged 120 for rear o2 sensor and 60 dollars for labor to put it.
