Info requred regarding car cd/mp3 player for CAMRY 98 LE...

Hi,

I bought a used car CAMRY 98 LE of late. It has a stereo and tuner. It doesn't have a CD/mp3 player. Can I fit in a cd/mp3 player while still keeping the stereo/tuner?

I saw a few ads about 6-10 CD changers which use the un-used FM frequencies. Does this mean that I can keep the stereo/tuner and add this CD changer seperately? And if I do so, will that fit nicely into the car without looking ackward?

Somebody was mentioning about the satellite Radio / mp3 player. Can somebody give me an idea about the features / price?

I appreciate your answers on this. I'm looking within a budget of $200 ± for this enhancement on my car.

Regards,

  1. If you want to keep your old cassette/radio and want to add a cd player you can get an add-on cd player from ebay that directly fits in the space below radio and connects to your old radio.

  1. If you want a CD/MP3 player, you have to remove the old radio since these two are not compatible and can not fit together.

  2. If you want both cd/cassette/radio player, you can buy used toyota cd/cassette combo from ebay and can fit it fully in the space and remove old radio.

  1. You can add a OEM toyota CD changer that directly connects to factory radio. Also you can add a RF cd changer that can be received/played from radio but the quality will be as good as best FM station. You can add after market CD changers that connects to old radio thru an interface.

  2. there are cd/cassette/mp3 players available from pioneer for around 0.
