My power light (amber light on the speedometer) is always on. What could be the problem?

Do you mean the light that's in the outline of a battery, with plus and minus symbols over the terminals? It usually means you need a new alternator.

Maybe the switch on your gear selector is depressed. Check to see the Normal/Power button by the thumb isn't pushed in.
