Toyota Aurion

Sep 18, 2006 4 Replies

This new model, not due out in Australia for some time yet, is, according to prerelease chatter, supposed to be an AWD (All Wheel Drive) 6 cylinder only vehicle, with the 4 cylinder used exclusively on the Camry, meaning no 6 cylinder option !?

Does this sound right? Has any info been released in the US about the Aurion?

Jason

What is the aurion... looks like a camry and avalon put together...?

No talk of the Aurion here Jason, But on the US Toyota site they do talk about future car using the old "Crown" name they used to use here. There are a few pictures but not much as far as specifications. It is a large car though. Try looking at the website under future/concept and see if it looks the same. Scott

Aurion is just for the australian market, basically a camry with different lights and panels, same as chinese camry

Yes, I can't see any other mention of a new Toyota called a Crown for the US,..but in Japanese "Camry" transaltes to "crown" anyway.

Here's the info I'm refering to:
