1985 4runner cruise control not working?

I have a 1985 4runner, the cruise control looks all connected OK and the little LED lights on the dash come on, what should I check?

Check the vacuum lines on the manifold and especially to the throttle actuator, and the throttle cable between the actuator and the throttle. Joe
