Has happened 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Pull a plug wire to check for spark, and it starts, or just wait a couple of hours and it starts. Always runs fine once started, and cranks strong.
Any common failures on the 95 pickups with this engine?

If the starter is cranking the engine, then the contacts are likely fine. Easy thing to check is the fuel pump:

common for the circuit opening relay to fail to pull in duringstarting and since this is what turns on the fuel pump, you get no fuelpressure at first. Only with continued cranking, enough to pull openthe Air Flow Meter, do you get the pump to turn on.
