4Runner window replacement

Jun 24, 2003 1 Replies

I have a 94 4Runner that was broken into last week, they broke the window of the right/rear door. I went to the auto salvage yard today and found a wrecked 4Runner with an intact right/rear door, so now the question is:

  1. Do I take just the window and power window apparatus from the wreck, and replace those parts on my truck?

  1. Or, do I replace the whole door? (that is, would that be easier than trying to mess with taking apart the door I have now and replacing all of the window parts?) And how hard is it to remove the current door and replace it with another? I've never done something like that, so I'm clueless...

Thanks for any help you can provide!
