My 99 idles very rough and noisy when in gear. Most noticeable when warm with airconditioning off. Idles fine in neutral. Automatic, 4 cylinder. Any ideas?

mine does the same thing i have 96 tacoma 2.7 lt and it drives m e crazzy some times it wil run smooth and othere very ruff i have taken it to the shop an dthey dont understand wht iam saying ya any ideas would be nice i dont know wht to do
