CBS Goes To Far

I don't know how many of you know that Dan Rather and 60 Minutes (CBS News) ran a story attacking George Bush and his time in the National Guard. One of the basis points of this attack garbage where documents which have now been determined to be forgeries! Rather than admit to their biased reporting and lack of professionalism, Dan Rather has attempted to stand behind thier report! This has been done in spite of the Colonels wife and son specifically stating that they did not believe that the documents were real, that the Colonel did not keep typed notes of any sort, and that they did not provide the information from the files! They both have specifically stated that they do not know where the files came from because they did not have them nor did anyone they know! On top of this over a dozen cryptologists have come out and voiced their feelings that the documents are fakes.

Because of this we are calling for a National boycott of CBS and all of its advertisers!

Please email these people voicing your displeasure. To email go to their web site

An email sent to CBS News Follows:

Dan Rather sucks!

Even I spotted the "th" of the "111th" as a problem and knew that the documents were not created in the time frame reported by you people!

I am calling a boycott of all CBS shows and all CBS advertisers. You will see this note posted all over the internet. I hope you lose millions of dollars because you deserve it for your incredibly biased and unprofessional coverage of the presidential race.

Where is your show featuring the Swift Boat Vets? Where?

So you want us to believe:

The forgers were good enough to forge the signature to the point his son says they look authentic.

The forgers were good enough to include dates, people and issues corroborating the same dates, people and issues found in official National Guard documents.

The forgers were so accurate in constructing their memos the White House has not disputed their accuracy.

The forgers went to the trouble of reproducing or getting National Guard letterhead from the 1970s.

Yet we are to believe the forgers decided, in the end, to produce the memos using Microsoft word rather than use a typewriter. Who knows? Maybe they needed a spell checker.

This is like a forger producing a "Shroud of Turin" period replica using the same type of dye, ink and outline but forgetting to remove the "Made in U.S.A. for J.C. Penny" tag from the bottom of the cloth.

LOL.

On Sat, 11 Sep 2004 15:07:48 GMT, "grinder" found these unused words floating about:

One 'real document = 1,000 photoshopped copies onto fakes. After one 'reproduction' hard to tell.

Other reports say the docs WEREN'T something he'd write and his family note files don't show such!

Good forgers know their subject.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario - perhaps real facts will out and a statemnt will be made.

Easily done ... true documents abound. Heck, one of my letterheads is a copy of a 1907 railroad letterhead (PS altered for my use) !!!

Or real typewriters from the period aren't readily available?

Remember, this is all from the same team that 'moved' an 8 Plex movie theater some 7 miles to "prove" that children were being harmed by the Las Vegas Strip.

Frankly my dear, I'd Rather not !!!

Na,

Carl Rove typed it up on his word processor with obvious flaws and then left it some where for the Bush haters to find. Trap set, bait taken, trap sprung.
