The "pickup" was taken off the production line in 1995, the same year as the introduction of the "Tacoma". It came in 2wd and 4wd models with either a

2.4 liter 4 cylinder or a 3.0 liter 6 cylinder. From 1993-1998 Toyota tried their hand at the T100, a larger version of the original Pickup, but still considered to be a "midsize" pickup where-as the Toyota Pickup was a "compact". In 2000 the "Tundra" was introduced. The Tundra has been Toyota's "full size" pickup line since then. The Tacoma is now more into the "midsize" class. I'm not sure exactely what you'd like to know as far as difference's go between the two, but there is a 5 year difference between the end of production on the "Pickup" and the start of production on the "Tundra", so the differences are great.. One is a fullsize, while the other is a compact.

I saw an extended cab truck at the dealership that was lowered and had a lot of cosmetic work done. MSRP was $23k. On the sticker it was noted that it was a "standard pick-up." It also did not have any Tundra identification on the outside of the truck.

If it was a new truck.... It was a Tacoma, or a Tundra... no other choices
