Downey 3" suspension lift on an '85 Toyota Pickup?

Recently I've been looking into lifting my '85 4wd pickup. The kits I have looked at are Northwest Offroad Specialty and Downey, and I decided on the Downey only because it's more cost effective. Still the kit they have doesn't seem to come with all the parts. Does anyone have any expierence with this? As far as I know the kit has 4 springs, bushings, brackets for the brake proportioner and brake line relocation and extensions for the swaybar. What else will I need, other than extended brake lines and shocks, to complete the installation? How hard would it be to install the lift myself?

Thanks, Anders

You may find an adjustable drag link and possibly an adjustable torque rod may be required. Also, depending on the spring lengths, you may need longer spring shackles. I know I needed 1" longer fronts for the NWOR springs, rears were fine.

I ended up adding a dropped/adjustable draglink and torque rod and also found I needed a 1" longer spring shackle for the front springs to keep them from bottoming against the frame under compression.
