Is there a way to retrieve check engine codes other than a scanner tool for a 05 4Runner? I know on my 03 Jeep I turn the ignition switch on and off 3 times and the odometer will show the codes and then the word "done" when it is finished. Any similar ways to do this on the Toyotas?
