propeller shaft

I have never owned a 4wd. I have always understood "Propeller Shaft" to be a

4WD item. I bought a 2wd Tacoma and it says to "re-torque Propeller shaft every 15k miles on 2wd and 4wd models. I asked the service dept about this and they tried to BS me like I was stupid or something. I wrote a letter to Toyota and they confirmed the service book that came with the truck. So, is this true, that I need to "re-torque the Propeller shaft" on my 2wd Tacoma?

Yup, what every other make calls the driveshaft, toyota calls it the propeller shaft. There a a few bolts down there you need to re-torque, though on mine none were loose. A have read a few posts saying that they were surprised to find some did come loose, so be sure to check them. This is also a good time to shoot some grease into the zerk fittings on the prop shaft too. There are six or eight if I remember correctly.
