1983 aircooled 2ltr T25 engine into a 1975 carravette?

Hi All, My father is trying to put a 1975 camper van back on the road, we had many happy holidays as kids in it, but the engine is completely shot (gone round the clock 4 times!!) I have a chance to pick up a 1983 aircooled 2 ltr T25 engine for a good price (bit skint at the mo) will it fit??



Any problems envisaged??

Jake Raby (MassiveType4.com) always downplays the hydrolic lifters the post

80 engines have.

Rebuilding a T4 is much more costly.
