It has just 1 cable, the 12V. get power from the fusebox, or directly if you want power always (ie: ignition off) it is grounded directly to where it bolts. It doesn't get any easier. The more difficult part is to decide where to put it. of course, if you bolt it to the plastic dash, you are not gounding ir, therefore, no power. In that case you can bolt a wire from there to the body behind the dash.

Use a separate ground wire, it's more reliable that way.

I put one in mine several years ago. I ran a wire from the battery with an inline 20a fuse under the tunnel carpet to the dash and grounded it behind the dash. I use it for a solar charger and the cell phone so I used the seperate 14 ga wire. Dennis
