a few have been to the raceshop to be raceprepped, thennever run...they do work well on a bmw ministock...on a bug? not so great...

great is relative...i have had several vw's with large centermount carbs...they will work with proper jetting, but are not ideal....a set of dual kadrons will put a progressive to shame on the same engine...and need no "tweaking" from season to season...the bugspray, we agree on....
