Anybody know this car?

Question

I give up trying to post E-Bay links,but its the 64 Commander 4 door that just went on this morning in Windham CT. It looks like a nice car and I was really suprised I hit the reserve at

1000. Im done bidding so I doubt if Ill win it anyway,cause theres still 6 days and some to go.But I have the high bid and the reserve is met. Its a V-8 ,4 door,with a three speed.He says its got the original paint,and the interior looks really nice. But I just got an e-mail from a guy who says he bought the car on E-Bay a few weeks ago,and wouldn't pay after he saw the car.This guy says its all rusted out,"Big holes in the floor,all the doors and fenders rusty" I really doubt its that bad looking at the sellers feedback,and he's a Stude guy,look at his yard and E-Bay feedbacks . But if theres anyone in the area Id sure like it if you could go have a look.

Well the car looks nice enough on the outside. But the rust around thefloormats makes me nervous. If he is selling the car he should have pulledthem up to see whats underneath. If he is a Studebaker guy, he knows heshould take a picture of the trunk are where it usually rusts. Also it isagainst Ebay rules for someone else to contact you and advise you not to bidon that car. Especially if he too is bidding on the car.But the guy selling the car has real solid feedback, send him a email, I bethe be glad to tell you all about the car,and he probably has more pics too.Malcom

Yes,that really is a piss poor excuse,I hope he comes through,Ill let you all know of course.If I still have the high bid on the last day and the sellers completely unco-operative,Ill go look at the car.But if he mis-reresented Ill be damned if Ill buy it,even for a thousand bucks and a drive to CT,which would be a three to four day return trip for me.Ill rent a truck and trailer and come down for a look.  wrote in message news:bj7Yd.5628$
