Hey Scott, did you ever finish cutting up that '72 Super? Your website stops just before you were about to cut into the area just forward of the doors. I was interested in seeing the defroster hose area. Any more pictures?

Yep.......................I kinda got in a hurry after a liitle bit and had to get that thang outta here.................I'll check around here in my stash of many photos and see if I can find the pics I took of that area.............................I know I took 'em .....................Can't believe I never posted the damn things.

Geez .... what'd they do? ... hire Lilliputians to install those bottom hoses? I'd never get my arm down in there. Does anybody have any tricks to replacing those rotten paper hoses?

I you don't want to force your arm in there. I did, and found that the carpet holding lugs in the inside are small nails welded into holes in the panel. So shoving your arm down the tunnel is like shoving your arm into a metal rose bush. I don't know how to get the paper hoses replaced. A local bug shop in Shingle Springs (The Bug Doctor) said he pushes a smaller hose down through the remnants of the old hose, into the tunnel, then foams the outside of the new hose.
Anybody have any other ideas? Needless to say, I get no de-froster heat.
A 1300 watt electric heater on the floor boards for a half hour before I leave starts the car off nice and toasty in the mornings.
