electronic ignition 009

Hey you guys, I found in a bargain bin a 009 with an electronic module in it. It looks like a version of "Hot Spark" that I've seen for sale all over ebay and samba. The dizzer was locked up until I removed a washer rattling around in the guts. the module is all intact from what pictures i could find of it but I don't know if it works. Is there a way to check it with a VOM without installing it and going for trial and error. I really dont wanna install it, then have to go right back to my working svda and go through all that rigamarole out here in the cold if i can test it in the house!! Thank You
