Will a lowered-59 vw front end with all the acutriments that come with a tube front end marry to a 67 front end frame?

'69 had link pin, whereas '67 had balljoint front suspension. The beams are not interchangable.

Actually, '59 had link pin, 66 and later had ball joint. The reason they don't fit is because the distance between the tubes is different. You could change the frame head, but I'd just get a lowered BJ front end. Especially on a 67, since you don't want to do anything to reduce the value of these cars.

Sorry, I was supposed to type '59, not '69! My mistake!

'59 had link pin, whereas '67 had balljoint front suspension (from August '65). The beams are not interchangable.

Yes, the framehead would have to be changed.

Thank you very much, VW brothers (and sisters) for the info. I bought a lowered 59 front end with all the goodies, (brakes, alignment, etc) and before I had a chance to put it on, my son totalled the 59. Now I have this front end that I can not use. I will buy a 67 BJ lowered and add to my 67. Thank you again gentlemen.
