(ad number 16796729) Description: Green 2DR Sedan, 11500 Miles, Manual Transmission, 4 Cylinders, Excellent Condition. This car is titled in Wisconsin as a

1970 and has been completely ?restored? by using a 1970 chassis (the only old component used in the restoration) and assembling a 1999 Mexican production Beetle (brand-new) on it. Put up for winter and only driven in the rain a couple of times. Bright green metallic (1999 color) with grey cloth seats. Price: $7,749 If anyone is interested, I can email photos.

What happened to the 1999 chassis? Why did it need restoration if it's that new? *confused*

This must mean there is a complete 1970 German bug somewhere that only needs a new pan! :)

you do know why, dont you? They buy the 99, put it on a earlier chassis, so you get a brand new everything, but its registered as the pan vin number.... bypassing smog etc that would kill a 99 bug in the U.S.
