Generation Gap

I guess I should not admit it but I probably have not washed the 67 since last fall since I don't drive it in the snow etc. It had a nice layer on dust on it, so I backed it out of the garage and proceeded to give it a wash. This kid that was around 10 years old or so is riding by on his bike and stops tell me that this is really a cool car. He asked what that stuff was along the bottom of the door. I reply that it is rust. He gives me a puzzled look and asked what that was. I asked him if he seriously had never seen a vehicle with rust on it before. He said no. I guess that if his parents lease a new SUV every Three years, then he probably never had seen a car with rust before. It was just surprising.
