Just wanted to thank everyone for their input - thanks!
Initially I figured that the tank had to be replaced, but after scoping it out, I found it is actually in good shape. It had goo on the inside, but rust is really minimal! The chain/ Nut/bolt trick worked great and it is really clean now -- thanks, guys!
One comment mentioned that the original German parts are very well made. You were not kidding -- this thing is built like a tank! :) Regards, Remco
