interior questions

I am contemplating redoing the interior on my 56 oval sedan. Car is bone stock and I am going with TMI due to cost (it is close enough to period appropriate smooth side door panels in solid red). Just how difficult is it to redo the seats and door panels. Is it something a novice can do or is it something best left to a professional if I want it done correctly. Are there any how to's or videos on interior installs? Thanks. - DB

Thanks. Since the interior will come from j-bugs, I'll just spring for the vid as well. DB

The door panels are easy. remove the door and window hardware, pop out the old, pop in the new and replace the hardware..

As far as the seats, the covers are preformed to your year seats. Just cut the twine and remove the old covers and slip on the new ones. Tighten the twine, a few hog-rings and you're done. A few hours in the sun, or a few minutes in the dryer will make the covers go on much easier.

As far as an interior video, I'd recommend the one offered by

If you buy the interior kit (seats, carpet, headliner, door panels) then the video comes with it free.
