Is It safe to Buy Parts From TheSamba.com?

I think it depends on the seller entirely... I don't know of a buyer protection thing, never thought about it. I doubt there is? You should look at the seller's profile and click on Feedback given by other buyers. I buy stuff from there every now and then. So far so good. You could also run your own search on his username.

the only buyer protection you will have is through paypal.... doing "business" on the internet is not without it's risks... if the risks are too much, stick with trusted vendors......TheSamba.com offers no protection they are nothing more than a site, similar to this newsgroup.... an open forum for folks to sell their things...

I think the only official protection you get is from paypal or your credit card..

I've bought a lot from there, even going as far as sending cash for small stuff and never had a problem. It is a pretty active community and there is a lot of history for most vendors..

There's a relatively extensive buyer/seller feedback forum on the site... a good example of who NOT to buy from is Mario Gavazzi, who, gratefully, seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth.

Also just won at a AACA car show nothing like a VW only show it takes much more to win at a AACA show

Sorry Rose but if you weren't so ignorant and understood how AACA judgeing works it doesnt matter if theres 27 like there was in the class or 2 but as much as you keep lying about no rust in your ghia It seems funny that the one you like to bitch so much about keeps winning.

I understand a lot of things that escape you, Mario... Like good business, what good work looks like, and what rust is... rust isn't something you slather the filler on to cover holes, as pictures suggest you do, and I also know the difference between surface imperfections and rot.... but you don't seem to... sadly... what did this latest customer that complained on your feedback thread do to f*ck you over, it couldn't have been as they said it was, considering every other customer that seemed to get ripped off was "lying"....
