I think if you just put some GL-5 in the gearbox to replace that old-style GL-4 that you'll see a positive difference in the performance of your car. ;-)

Why that's remarkable! The fellow at my local VW performance shoppe just sold me a gallon of that stuff. Said that he'd been reading my posts and said that it was perfect "for a guy like me." Whatever that means!
Hey I did that one time... cept I had a pin hole in one of my push rod tubes... I used valvoline straight 50 weight racing oil... dont know that it slowed the leak any... but I was more confident that I could make it 10 miles down the street without a refill :-D there was a steady stream of oil all the way in to the shop door for a LONG LONG time from that LOL
