To add to john's post, I have cleaned up my yard quite a bit since my lastest pictures were posted. Down to 3 bugs and a dune buggy oput in the yard.

Of course that doesn't count the garage and the patio.

Your loss if you don't come and see us when you need parts.

Yes, I know that and I appreciate the offers but does that mean neither of you have found any good VW graveyards around here? The last time I went looking was 20 years ago and I lived in Waco (for school). Oh well, I don't need anything yet. I probably won't get around to the front fenders until next year.

Each time I work on my bug I really regret getting rid of the parts car I had for a while though. No space at the time.

I understand where you are coming from as far as looking for A place to find a junkyard. I don;t think , however, you will find one in the area that hasn;t been picked clean. If in fact you find one at all. John and I have watched the VW scene around town a lot in the pat 10 or more years and haven;t found anyone we'd do business with for any length of time. I am ok with the guys at VDUB FOLKS in Irving, but don't travel that way enough to be super familiar with them. Pistons and plugs/rings or whatever , over in Mesquite was not a positive experience for me. That's putting it lightly too. The best way to get the best collection of Bug Parts is to find the guys who have them or make your own collection.

That said. It is not entirely unlikely that John and I have not seen it all. It's just highly likely we have seen pretty much what's worth digging through.

Like It's been said. Don;t just skip our collection of parts, unless you can afford to do without as far as used parts are concerned.

You may wander into a situation that says "junkyard" and we would all likely be grateful if you shared also.
