Get out your compression tester. Might want to adjust valves too.
If ( as we suspect) compression is low, there is grave danger of the engine self-destructing out on the hiway when a valve gets sucked in...

No suction on carbie??

Hi
I have an 1800 kombi motor with twin carbs. When i place my hand on the right carbie at idel there is heaps of suction. Do the same to the left and there is virtually none.
Should i suspect a cracked head?
The motor starts eaisly enough though.
