Pricing VWs.

Is it my imagination . Or does everyone who has a rusty piece of crap Bus or bug. Think its worth 2 grand. There's shells with no drivetrains for a grand. Been sitting for 15 years.

You can get really nice ones for $3000-5000.

Or is it some people cant grasp how much time and effort steel repair is.

Am I mistaken in thinking that a really rotted running VW is near worthless.

..............

for your last statement first, no you are not mistaken... what you are mistaken on, is that that is your belief.... remember, anything is only worth what someone else will pay... In my area you have basically two choices... cars that have been "fixed", which can mean very well, or made to look pretty, then you have the rotted out ones... running or not, that's no important, vw running gear is nearly worthless because all sellers lie about it being "rebuilt"... all that said, do you know what the difference between a $2000 bug and a $6000 dollar bug is(in my area)? about $6-8000 in repairs....
