I have three reaw windscreens for a 74 super beetle and the defoggers on all three are shot. I've tried to find someone who fixes them but there doesnt seem to be anyone (here is a revenue opportunity). On one of them I decided to go ahead and scrape the wires off, I screped and scraped but it seems like the wires are somehod embedded into thesurface of the glass. Does anyone have any idea on how these were made? I've ordered several types of repair kits from various cateloges but none of them really do a very satisfactory job. Before anyone asks, none of the lines work, there are multiple breakes in all of the lines.
