I hope the attention to detail in the performance boxes is better than the attention to detail on the website... sorry...just annoys me when a company advertising itself cannot be bothered to check its spelling etc on its own website. Always makes me wonder what its service is going to be like

Why don't you turn it upside down.. If they are producing some VERY nice and fancy advertising material, (bernie Bergmann comes to mind) and professionally designed and coded web pages.. It could all be just flashy dressing, and they still don't know which end of a screwdriver they're supposed to be holding.

I have found that the best work is performed by the grumpy old geezers with 30+years of experience and zero advertising, and no computer skills at all. And certainly no Websites.

Of course, this is juts one extreme and I'm sure there are many skilled people and shops who also know their way around the web and may even have hired someone to design and perhaps even run their website.

Still. I don't require the mechanics I use to wear a suit and a tie and be able to show me flashy ads and 100% perfect grammar or spelling. I just want the job done right. Their job is to turn wrenches, not write novels.

Fair point !!!!.........I just sometimes think that some people dont understand that first impressions on the web, can be like first impressions anywhere. Sometimes, you can pull up to a garage, and almost instantly think " I am not leaving my pride and joy with them" If the garage is genuinely good, then you are probably there because somebody advised it. If its web advertised, you dont have much to base it on, apart from its site? It has even been known for bogus companies to set themselves up. If I was going to send hundreds of pounds/dollars, I would like to be reassured first. It wouldnt cost much for people to use a spell checker for instance (must be built into almost every program these days?) when making the effort for the site. If you paid somebody else, well, thats even worse?....

If you cant write a website...dont...Pay somebody that can. If you cant build a gearbox...dont...Pay somebody that can

Its just my opinion...and therefore probably doesnt count.

P.S If anybody has dealt with him, then insert your praise here as I may be considering a 5 speed box sometime (although I dont think he does them for aircooled?)
