...................I dropped that gun in the salt water while fishing from my boat on Galveston Bay once. I lowered a fishing line with a sinker down at that spot, stripped down and then dove in for it down to maybe 15 feet. The water there isn't very clear but luckily that spot was sand instead of muck and I found it on the first try. As for trusty, when I got it home I flushed the hell out of it under a faucet and then drenched it with Hopp's gun oil. It always fired just fine after all of that and never rusted either. Try that with your stinkin' glock.

My Glock is plastic for the most part so I doubt it will rust. :-) Glocks have AWESOME reputations for being reliable. Mine is in the shape it's in right now because of user error and I haven't denied that at any point in my lamenting. ;-)

Check out

they have a stainless steel recoil rod with a button head hex screw on the end so you can replace the spring when it starts getting tired. I have one in my glock 21 and I've been very happy with it. $20.00 last time I checked.

Hey, thanks for the pointer, Chris. I'll check into that. Sounds like a good upgrade.

Just ordered one from them. Still $20. While I was there I grabbed one of these, too:

Nice. Not very interesting design, the serrated back would certainly bring some life to it. Maybe re-shape the blade a little... :)
