960 Empty AC

Hi All;

I have a 92 960 with a broken AC.

The condenser has been out for months while I try and work out how to find a probable leak in it, which I am prity sure is around its pipe connections. I heard a hiss from this area one day, thinking it was from the front offside(UK) tyre, I was keen to find the problem. My experience with Volvo is having to change rads because of the fractures caused by connecting solid pipes to thin walled heat exchangers, so I am very suspicious of my problem being a fractured condenser.

I am after tips on how to test this condenser for a leak? Of course the two refrigerant connections are bastards and I was wondering if list would advise on a method. With punctures, one simply pumps the tyre and immerse in water looking for bubbles, I was thinking of a similar test.

Regards Ian
