A '94 855 Security System problem! and AC problem

I have an 1984 850 Station Wagon. It seemed that when I would lock the car the security system would kick in (Good) But a few minutes later the horn and lights would go off causing great racket and embarrassment!

I took it to the dealer and they asked if I cared if they deactivated the beeping horn. Nope.. that would be fine with me as long as normal activity didn't activate the alarm... So they deactivated the horn alarm.

Everything was just peachy for several years. Now what happens is that all turning lights go on and flash until either the battery runs dry or I unlock the car.... and deactivate the alarm system.

1) Any thoughts if there is a fuse I can pull to deactivate the flashing light problem and still be able to use my remote openers?

2) Better yet, is there a module I can buy to replace the failing Volvo part?

And earlier I sent the following in to the group and had no fix being offered then.

Soooo Here I an trolling for help on this issue again:

The '94 855 had the AC modified by Volvo on a recall to make sure that the AC blower would work long enough to dry out the condenser. The purpose was to prevent mold etc.

Recently it will not shut off. In fact it has drained my battery twice. I have found that if I shut the fan switch to off that the feature that dries out the condenser does shut off the fan... but it does come back on an eventually dries out the battery :-<

Any thoughts on this one?

Do I need a new relay? If so where is it and how easy is it to replace?

Thanks Gang!

Remove the alarm relay under the drivers side dash and replace it with the dummy relay P/N 3545333. It's a brown relay that goes in cavity 210. It eliminates the alarm and jumpers the connection to allow the starter to run when the key is turned to the start position. It's how the car was delivered to the dealer before the alarm system was installed.

As for the fan: install the pollen filter kit under the passenger side windshield cowl and find a shop that has the old fan bulletin and undo the modification. In addition clean ansd dielectric grease the main body ground strip and connectors under/beside the battery tray.
