Airbag light on

Dec 29, 2003 1 Replies

Hi,

I recently removed the top cover (dashboard) on my 95' 850 to replace some bulbs and such....anyway, after I was finished I reconnected the passenger side airbag, turned the key to position 2 and reconnected the negative terminal of the battery. Problem is that now the SRS light will stay on "indefinitely"..... does it have to be reset somehow, or did I screw up some wiring or something else????

Thanks!!

That means a fault was detected when the ignition was turned on. Did you turn the ignition on (to check bulbs) before reconnecting the airbag? You can read and reset SRS codes like fuel system codes, put the lead into B5.
