You have several options for the clock. Many opt for removing the original works and replacing it with a quartz movement. Others send the clock to a repair facility.
Go to Yahoo Groups and muck around until you find the 1800 list. This is an excellent resource.
VCOA and VSA both have excellent newsletters and a good line of parts suppliers.
try brickboard.com also.
