door locks on S 80

The power door locks on my S 80 quit recently. They still respond individually when you try to lock with the door open, each will come back up. The remote and arm rest switches don't do anything. Any ideas? Thanks, Ken

Key on, dash lights lit. Close both front windows. Hold both front window switches, in drivers door, in the up position for about 6 seconds or so, release. Remove key. Close all doors, hood and trunk lid. Using the remote, lock and unlock the car twice. The UEM, Upper Electronic Module is now reset.

Should all of the doors, hood and trunk be open before starting this process?

WOW! Thanks for the info, obviously could have never done it without you. FYI, I did open up everything while in the up window part. It worked great and I'm back in business! Thanks, Ken

I think that you can reset this module (and all others if there's a problem with what they control) with the same results by finding its fuse and removing it for a couple of minutes or so.

I've never had to do this, I only know of it, so I don't know for sure. I would guess that they all should be open.
