Iv got a 85 740GL when it warms up, its runs fine, but before the temp gets up to about half, it runs like a slug.. feels like its starved or flooded...actually coughs and splutters.. Not too hard to live with but a quick fix would be nice. Ray snipped-for-privacy@hotmail.com
Idle Air Control Valve dirty? When did you last thoroughly clean the inlet tract (from air filter to manifold). Either that or your cold start injector may not be working well if at all. Try fuel cleaner in the tank first then check out wiring to cold start injector if listening to it does not show tapping sound.
